Who we are

filmbunch.com and the FilmBunch newsletters are published by Radical Plans S.r.l.s., Via dei Panciatichi 32/5, 50127 Firenze (FI), Italia (P.IVA and codice fiscale 07493250489, REA FI-707099). Radical Plans is the controller of the personal data described here.

Privacy questions and requests: privacy@filmbunch.com. Formal notices: radicalplans.amm@pec.it (certified email, PEC). We have not appointed a data protection officer.

What we collect

Browsing. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) to keep the site secure and working; these are kept only as long as needed for that purpose. If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which stories are read. Google Analytics does not store your IP address, and we have switched off Google signals and ad personalisation. If you reject or ignore the banner, no analytics run. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a rejection. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Details are in our Cookie Policy. Fonts are served from our own server.

Newsletter. Our newsletter is run by Substack. When you sign up, your email address is sent to Substack, which processes it under its own privacy policy. You confirm your subscription on Substack, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We only email people who signed up.

Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to deal with it and any follow-up.

Staff accounts. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the site. Visitor registration and comments are switched off, so we do not collect or host anything posted by readers.

We do not collect sensitive data, we do not build profiles of readers and we make no automated decisions about anyone.

Why we use it

  • To run and secure the site: our legitimate interest.
  • To send you the newsletter you asked for: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
  • Analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through Cookie settings.
  • To reply to you: our legitimate interest in answering, or steps you asked us to take.

Transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Server logs: as long as the host needs them for security. Analytics data: no longer than 14 months. Emails: as long as the conversation needs. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable form, by writing to privacy@filmbunch.com. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. We reply within one month. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali; in the UK, the ICO).

Readers outside Europe

United States. In the last 12 months we have collected identifiers (email address, IP address in server logs) and, with consent, internet activity on this site (pages read), for the purposes above. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Texas), and we do not use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of; we honour Global Privacy Control anyway. Residents of those states can ask to know, correct or delete their data by writing to privacy@filmbunch.com, and we will not treat anyone differently for doing so.

Canada. We handle personal information under PIPEDA. Newsletter emails are sent only with your express consent, identify FilmBunch, and contain an unsubscribe link (CASL).

Brazil, Switzerland and elsewhere. Readers in Brazil (LGPD), Switzerland (nFADP), Japan (APPI), South Korea (PIPA), India (DPDP Act) and China (PIPL) have the same rights described above, and can use them by writing to privacy@filmbunch.com. Your data is processed in the EU and the United States as described here.

Children

FilmBunch is written for people who work in the film business. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, and we keep its software up to date.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date below.
